Greeting & Confirm Time
You: Good afternoon, this is [Keith] with My Wellness Physicians. May I speak with [name]? … I'm calling you back about the hormone therapy inquiry you sent us. Is this still a good time to talk for a few minutes?
2
How They Found Us & What's Going On
You: First, how did you hear about us? And tell me — what's been going on that made you reach out about hormone therapy?
3
Quick Screening
You: If you don't mind a few quick questions — these help Dr. Cruz prepare so you get the most out of your visit. Where are you in the menopause transition, and are you on any hormones now?
Personal hx breast / uterine cancer?
Hx blood clot / DVT / PE / stroke?

Explain the Program
You: Let me walk you through what working with Dr. Cruz on hormones actually looks like — because it's very different from a telehealth hormone mill.
Before the visit
- We send an intake packet to complete ahead of time so Dr. Cruz can review your history before you arrive.
- Bring any recent bloodwork or hormone panels from a past provider — even a summary helps.
The consultation with Dr. Cruz
- A full hour — detailed history, symptom review, and a real conversation about your goals and risk factors.
- Double board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine, 20+ years of experience.
- We're at the Village at Leesburg, near Wegmans and right next to AT&T — My Wellness Physicians.
The whole-person approach
- Baseline labs — estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, and metabolic markers as indicated.
- We connect symptoms to the full hormonal picture — not just estrogen in isolation.
- Hormone therapy dosed and delivered the way that fits you — patch, cream, oral, or pellet — when clinically appropriate.
- Referrals when they help — DEXA bone density scans, pelvic health, or other specialists as needed.
Care between visits
- Follow-up labs and dose adjustments on a schedule, plus support if a side effect or question comes up mid-cycle.
- Telemedicine follow-ups available for Virginia residents when clinically appropriate.

"Does my insurance cover this?"
We're concierge and out-of-network — that's what lets Dr. Cruz order the right labs and spend a full hour with you. After your visit we give you a detailed superbill to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement (varies by plan), and we accept HSA, FSA, and CareCredit.
"It sounds expensive."
I'll be transparent — the first step is a My Wellness Consultation with a full lab panel, which is $800. That covers Dr. Cruz's full evaluation and your baseline labs. Our ongoing HRT membership package is being finalized right now, so I can't quote it yet — Dr. Cruz will walk you through those options once she has your labs in hand. CareCredit is available if you'd like to spread out payment.
"I'm already on hormones — why see Dr. Cruz?"
That's exactly who benefits most. Doses that were never adjusted, labs that were never drawn, symptoms that never fully resolved — that's common with telehealth-only hormone care. Dr. Cruz looks at the whole picture and makes sure your regimen is actually right for your labs and your risk factors, not just a standard starting dose.
"Is this just compounded hormones like everyone else?"
The medication is part of it — but the difference is who's behind it. You work directly with Dr. Cruz, double board-certified, 20+ years' experience. Real labs, a real physician monitoring you over time, a plan built around your body — not a one-size-fits-all script.
