Greeting & Confirm Time
You: Good afternoon, this is [Keith] with My Wellness Physicians. May I speak with [name]? … Is this still a good time to talk for a few minutes?
2
How They Found Us
You: First of all, how did you hear about us? Did you take our lipedema quiz? What brought you to look into this?
3
Quick Screening
You: If you don't mind a few quick questions — your height and weight? Any medications? When did you first suspect this?

Explain the Consultation
You: Let me walk you through what a consultation looks like. It's a comprehensive, two-part visit.
Before the visit
- We send a medical history packet to complete ahead of time, or you can bring it with you.
- Completing it early lets the doctor review your history before you arrive.
- Plan to arrive about 15 to 20 minutes early.
Part one — with Dr. Cruz-Tolentino
- A full evaluation: detailed history and physical examination.
- We're located at the Village at Leesburg, near Wegmans, next to AT&T — My Wellness Physicians.
Part two — with Dr. Grace Villaver, DPT, CLT
- A certified lymphatic therapist who does her own assessment.
- Includes a manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) treatment.
- Runs about 60 to 75 minutes.
- May happen the same day if both schedules allow, or be scheduled separately.
After both visits
- The two doctors collaborate on your staging and typing of lipedema.
- You receive recommendations based on your history and findings.
- A large part of the visit is education — understanding lipedema and how to manage it.
You: All throughout your visit, please bring your questions — write them down. The doctors want you to leave understanding what's going on and what comes next.
5
Explain the Model & Fee
You: The consultation is $750 for the full two-and-a-half-hour visit with both doctors. It's due at the time of your first appointment, even if part two is scheduled for a later date.
How payment works
- We're a concierge, out-of-network practice and don't bill insurance directly.
- We provide a Superbill you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement — how much they cover depends on your plan.
- We accept FSA, HSA, and CareCredit.
What to bring
- Any blood work from within the past year.
- Photos showing progression over time, if you have them.
- Photos of family members — lipedema has a genetic component.
- Information on current compression garments or pumps.

Outcome & Next Steps
You: Whenever you're ready, message me to schedule, or book on our website. If your insurance is new, confirm your out-of-network benefits first.

- Validate — many have felt dismissed for years.
- Be transparent about the $750 fee, without apology.
- Don't diagnose or stage — that's the doctors' role.
- Don't promise specific reimbursement amounts.
